Robots that have been working with – and for – humans in Japan are now gaining employment in France.
The iconic Pepper robot, created by SoftBank Robotics, is designed to live with people and can read human emotions. It has been utilised in a variety of settings, including restaurants.
And now it, along with fellow robot, NAO – also from SoftBank Robotics – are taking up positions in Paris. Pepper will welcome visitors to the city hall of the fifteenth district of the French capital, while NAO is joining the education team there and will be deployed in schools around the area.
