EIC Accelerator

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator supports individual Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), in particular startups and spinout companies to develop and scaleup game-changing innovations. In some cases small mid-caps (up to 500 employees) are supported. The EIC Accelerator provides substantial financial support with: grant funding (non-dilutive) of up to €2.5 million for innovation development costs; investments (direct equity investments) of up to €15 million managed by the EIC Fund for scale up and other relevant costs. You can apply for EIC Accelerator funding at any time through the EIC platform.

WFP Innovation Challenge 2021

‘Apply to receive up to US $100,000 in equity-free funding, mentorship and access to the world’s largest humanitarian organisation. This year’s campaign challenges us to innovatively rethink our food systems. WFP Innovation is looking for disruptive innovations for fighting hunger in areas such as resilience to shocks and stress; access to safe and nutritious food; and advancing equitable livelihoods for all’.

EIC-EIT Climate Race to Net-zero

The EIT Climate-KIC is working together with the European Innovation Council (EIC) Business Acceleration Services to offer this new programme, in which 80 EIC accelerator startups, scale-ups or SMEs will be able to participate. EIT Climate KIC will help you understand, measure, and forecast how your product or service mitigates climate change. Four batches of 20 companies each will be invited into a five-months programme.

Youth Climate Action Challenge

This challenge is a global call for youth-led (under 30) innovative solutions that protect people and planet from the devastating consequences of climate change. Launched by a team of youth climate activists, professionals and volunteers from the Global Shapers Community and The Climate Reality Project, the Youth Climate Action Challenge aims to surface and support solutions to the climate crisis led and championed by young people. The best 10-20 submissions will be invited to a six-month cohort programme facilitated by the Global Shapers Community and The Climate Reality Project to help scale and advance their impact to better protect and support the global fight against the climate crisis.

The Circulars Accelerator ’22

‘The Circulars Accelerator is an action-oriented, six-month accelerator program for early-to-growth-stage companies developing innovations towards a more circular economy.  An initiative of Accenture, The Circulars Accelerator is run in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and supported by an esteemed panel of global experts and an extensive network of public and private sector organizations. Submissions will be reviewed in two stages. Stage 1 opens on 1st September. Successful applicants will be taken forth to Stage 2, and will be sent additional questions regarding their solution. Stage 2 is scheduled to open from 1st October. All submissions will close on 1st November.
