‘Men for Women in Science’

L’Oréal and UNESCO launched the Men for Women in Science platform this week.

To mark the 20th anniversary edition of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards, the pair introduced this new initiative to support efforts to achieve gender equality in science.

“We want to accelerate change towards improved gender balance and effectiveness in science, in order to help advance scientific understanding for the benefit of all and better address the challenges facing today’s world,”said Jean-Paul Agon, President of the L’Oréal Foundation.

Renowned geneticist, Axel Kahn, and mathematician, Cédric Villani, are among the 25 leading scientists to have pledged their support.
