Airbus is calling on social startups to join its BizLab platform and help shape the future of the aviation industry.
The Airbus BizLab initiative has had successful accelerator programmes in Toulouse, Hamburg and Bangalore for the past two years.
On the back of this week’s Airbus BizLab Summit in Toulouse, where 30 startups from the three locations pitched their products to key industry investors, Airbus announced the next round of its accelerator, with some new additions. It is a joint call from Toulouse and Hamburg, with startups free to pick which of the two places they’d prefer to be. And there is a new ‘social dimension’ to entice young companies working in the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) sphere.
Bruno Gutierres, Head of Airbus BizLab, said: “We are proud to see open innovation moving forward. In just two years, Airbus BizLab has already been in contact with almost 1,000 startups from all over the world. It is key to identify inventive ideas and new services to meet future challenges and customers’ expectations.”
