(SCOTLAND)

Global Game Changers (GGC) is one of the world’s first cross-sector awards platform rewarding impact towards the UN Global Goals.

We launched the event in 2017 in partnership with Newsquest Media and are delighted this year’s event will welcome internationally-renowned speaker on the Global Goals, Marc Buckley, as the keynote speaker at the ceremony in Glasgow. Marc is a member of the Expert Network for the World Economic Forum, and works with the World Food Programme, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and is the Germany and Austria Country Coordinator for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project.

Food for Thought is one of the categories – and is being supported by the Bayer Cares Foundation – led by Thimo V. Schmitt-Lord MBE –  and which Marc is an Innovation Special Advisor for.

This award is for a pioneering product, concept or service – created within any sector – for the purpose of contributing to a world without hunger – the GGC website states.

The event is open to all. Apply now.

Global Game Changers 2018 takes place on 12 September at the city’s Grand Central Hotel, with London the next stop in 2019.

We are also working with Thimo and Marc on the book, The Beauty of Impact (Food) edition – part of the innovations for purpose series from the Bayer Foundation, which will be published on rock paper – a sustainable paper made without using water.
