Second place and €50,000 went to Spain’s Alicia Asin Perez, CEO of Libelium, a company developing hardware for IoT markets; third and €30,000 went to Walburga Fröhlich, from Austria, the founder of atempo – a social enterprise pioneering services that enable people with learning disabilities to enter paid employment. While the Rising Innovator, and €20,000, was awarded to Norway’s Karen Dolva – co-founder of No Isolation – a business that develops comms devices for groups that are socially isolated.
