American’s are being asked to share their love for others this Valentine’s season by tapping an app and donating a meal to those in need.
The ShareTheMeal app – supported by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) – features regularly on these pages. Since its launch, the platform has helped provide more than 20 million meals to groups around the world who literally have nothing eat.
It is available in 10 languages, can process 30 currencies, and allows people to pay for a meal for just US $0.50.
And on the run up to Valentine’s Day, Americans can do even more to make a difference.
Big news! Starting now- Feb. 14, your $15 donation to team #MillionMealsforLove will be matched! $15 feeds 1 child for 1 month. 💛 https://t.co/NvvK7HBtt4 💛 This match only applies to donations by U.S.-based donors in USD. pic.twitter.com/SKlU7hD8tR
