Innovation makes sharing easy

Tens of millions of meals have been shared via the ShareTheMeal app – backed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). It is a simple way to use the smartphone in your pocket to give a meal to someone who will otherwise go without. While it is not a solution to the injustice of global hunger it offers a vital short-term lifeline, as the focus turns to developing innovations that can fix broken food systems and put an end to the deadly geography lottery.

The ShareTheMeal app can be used in 10 languages, accepts 30 currencies, and provides a meal for just US$0.50. Get tapping.
