Innovators Magazine is in Taipei this week at Circular Economy Taiwan (CE Taiwan) – organised by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
The trade event will showcase the ‘innovative technologies and comprehensive solutions’ accelerating circular economy growth, while also highlighting the opportunities available to businesses by investing in the ‘green ecosystem’. The scale of the opportunity, specifically in relation to the circular economy, was spelled out last year in a guide compiled by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in collaboration with Accenture, which told CEOs they should “seize the USD$ 4.5 trillion opportunity the circular economy represents”.
“Circular economy is becoming a must and Taiwan government also identifies current global trends towards it. Taiwan has a very efficient recycling system, with its garbage recycling rate up to 58%, amongst the top three in the world. Along with its diverse industry landscape, Taiwan does have a lot of advantages in developing circular economy,” said Walter Yeh, President and CEO of TAITRA.
CE Taiwan will play its part this week in demonstrating how innovators are already converting that potential into profit, in turn, inspiring other businesses to follow suit. Well be posting on social media, doing some podcast interviews in Taipei, and keeping you updated across our channels, so look out for that, and follow for the latest from event, which runs from 19 – 21 September.
