(BARCELONA)
Startups are being urged to take say how they would help lock gender equality into the tech industry.
The Hack_D_Gap global challenge returns to Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2018, the world’s most influential event for the mobile tech industry. It is run by MWC organisers, GSMA, via its Women4Tech platform, along with startup initiative, 4YFN.
Next year’s Hack_D_Gap is being presented as ‘one global challenge – two themes’. It wants to hear from startups that are pioneering products and services that can enable HR teams to build equality in to their gender practices and recruitment policies; or innovations which offer ‘learning, coaching and mentoring solutions’ to individuals and teams to better facilitate the growth of ‘gender-balance’ leadership structures.
Finalists will get an exhibition booth at the Barcelona showcase, plus the chance to pitch to investors. And additional branding and networking opportunities will be available to the winner.
The application deadline is 22 December, with the finale taking place on 27 February at MWC Barcelona, which runs from 26 February to 1 March.
