The European Commission is taking on the scourge of fake news.
It is setting up a High Level Group (HLG) to develop robust initiatives and strategies that can give the public access to more trustworthy news.
The Commission says it wants relevant stakeholders to join and ‘advise on policy initiatives to counter disinformation spread online’.
Tomorrow is the deadline for anyone who wants to apply to become a member of the new HLG.
