Concord is the latest American city to back trials of delivery robots. It agreed to a 12-month trial of the bots, from Starship Technologies, at a meeting of the city council this week.
Running on clean energy, Starship’s robots make local deliveries in 15-30 minutes within a two mile radius. Starship has partnerships with a number of food delivery companies – including DoorDash – and is becoming a common sight on the sidewalks of American cities.
