Californian city shifts to green fuel

(USA)

Renewable fuel producer Neste features regularly on these pages – and with good reason.

The Finnish multi-national makes its Neste MY Renewable Diesel from waste and residues. It is being widely used to transform the environmental credentials of various modes of transport – including boats – as it cuts green house gas emissions by up to 80%, with towns and cities around the world following suit.

The Californian City of San Leandro is the latest to join the Neste MY Renewable Diesel club and has ‘switched all municipal vehicles’ to the green fuel.

“We are very excited to add San Leandro to the list of progressive-minded California cities switching to Neste MY Renewable Diesel. I am confident that this decision will pay dividends in both fleet performance and help the City of San Leandro meet its greenhouse gas emission targets,” said Jeremy Baines, Vice President of Sales, Neste US.
