World Environment Day is a chance to lay the foundations for a better world

There is a “sustainable future where everyone can thrive” out there, the man on the World Environment Day video says.

That is the future we all want and can have if we make the right choices. And this Sunday’s World Environment Day, 5 June, says there is #OnlyOneEarth – so we must live for the world we want to leave for future generations.

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) are organising this year’s World Environment Day with Sweden – and you can read the #OnlyOneEarth guide they have come up with to help show people the things they can do to get us a “sustainable future where everyone can thrive”.

There are also lots of ways we can support World Environment Day and there are loads of events – have a look.
