‘Stepping up climate action’

(SWITZERLAND)

Al Gore has called on business and government leaders to ‘step up efforts’ on climate change at today’s meeting of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.

And the former US Vice President, and the Founder and Chairman of Climate Reality, hailed the work being done by thousands of businesses – and hundreds of cities – across America to ensure the country will not only meet but exceed the commitments it made under the Paris Agreement.

He was taking part in a panel discussion which talked about the ways ‘leaders can seize the opportunity and ratchet up their efforts’ to tackle the estimated 3.2°C increase in the Earth’s temperature being predicted by the end of the century – ‘more than double the Paris targets’.

Watch the full video of that panel session now.

And also check out how you can become a ‘Climate Reality Leader’.
