The Governor of New Mexico has signed the Energy Transition Act – which backs a shift to 100% carbon-free energy by the middle of the century.
Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s signature means New Mexico becomes the third state, after California and Hawaii, to make the move.
“The 100% clean energy revolution has arrived. New Mexico is ushering in a sea change that’s rippling across the United States and the world,” said Michael Brune, Sierra Club Executive Director.
