New €1.5M opportunity for agrifood startups

Warsaw is going to be the home of the new Future Resilient Agriculture accelerator hub opening in January that will invest millions of euros in early stage agrifood startups.

Part of the EIT Food accelerator network, the hub has the backing of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and will invest in solutions to global food system challenges.

“These startups will have the unique opportunity to access potential investments of up to €1.5 million from EIT Food,” Benoit Buntinx

Marja-Liisa Meurice, Director of EIT Food North-East said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce a high-level collaboration with EBRD to bring the EIT Food Acceleration Network programme to life in Warsaw, creating a dynamic Hub for breakthrough innovation in sustainable and future-resilient agriculture.”

Benoit Buntinx, Director of Business Creation at EIT Food, added: “By joining the EIT Food Accelerator Network, the new hub in Warsaw will open up opportunities for startups not only locally but across Europe and beyond. Startups selected for this accelerator will benefit from the extensive expertise and resources of EIT Food’s network, which includes industry-leading corporates, research institutions, and universities.”

Applications open early 2025 but startups can register their interest now.
