A multi-million euro open innovation call offering funding support to organisations advancing solutions that can help deliver a net zero food system in Europe launches today.
EIT Food’s Open Innovation Call for Proposals 2023 is backed by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), and is open to projects that are advancing one of the following goals: a net zero food system; healthier lives through food; a fully transparent, fair and resilient food system.
Paola Giavedoni, Director of Innovation at EIT Food, said: “Through this Open Innovation Call, EIT Food will support bold new innovations that promise to transform the way we address agrifood challenges. Whether through new products, technology or business practices, we want to hear from organisations with ideas that will help us secure a fairer, more transparent and resilient food system for all.”
Those selected will receive funding of up to 70% of their project costs, and there will be two submission windows, one closing on 14 October this year, and the second on 13 April 2023.
