To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Innovators Magazine in 2025, every month this year we will publish some of our milestone moments: the stories, podcasts, initiatives, projects and partners that have shaped our journey so far. Here’s a 2017 article, looking back on our co-founder’s speech in the European Parliament in Brussels, where she signed the Pact for Innovation, created by the Knowledge4Innovation (K4I) Forum in the European Parliament; and looking forward to our co-hosting of the closing ceremony of the 2017 summit.

Speaking at the European Innovation Summit in 2016, organised by Knowledge4Innovation (K4I), our co-founder, Susan Robertson talked about the principles underpinning Innovators Magazine.
She spoke about the importance of fostering cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the delivery of the UN Global Goals, emphasising the need to create opportunities for young innovators, and highlighting the magazine’s work widening access to young voices with the impact comms programme.

Closing ceremony
This year the magazine will co-host the closing ceremony at the European Innovation Summit – on St Andrew’s Day – where it will talk about the progress it has made promoting diversity during its first year. The magazine will also seek to forge new partnerships with stakeholders in a bid to find the quickest routes to levelling the playing field for young people across Europe.
