International stakeholders to talk bio-based commercialisation

There has never been a more exciting time to work in the bio-based industry. Global production of bio-based chemicals now exceeds 60 million tonnes, with the global market for them expected to increase to at least $12.2bn by 2021. We are moving away from bio-based chemicals being made by small, niche producers and only used by a narrow group of brands. Instead they are becoming a major part of corporate strategy, which can deliver a boost across the the triple bottom line (financial, social and environmental).

However, the road from conception to commercialisation is a very difficult one. Despite the growth in the area, scale up, competitiveness and adoption by end users and brands all often prove too big a challenge to overcome.

This is the focus of two co-located shows: Bio-Based Chemicals World and Bio-Based Products World which are taking place in Amsterdam on 24-25th May 2016, and this unique Congress brings together specialist chemical companies, manufacturers, technology providers and global brands to share best practice that will support the growth of bio-based products.

Across two days in the Dutch capital, the congress will encourage interaction and networking to connect technology providers to chemical companies and chemical companies to brands to meet new business contacts and uncover practical solutions.

The Bio-Based Chemicals and Bio-Based World show attracts more speakers from chemical producers and brands focused in this area than any other showcase!
