Who we are
Innovators Magazine was born in 2015, following the launch of the UN Sustainable Development Goals the same year, with the aim of taking a solutions journalism approach to telling stories about the innovators advancing the Global Goals.
Our amazing community of contributors, active in fields such as creativity, frontier technologies, global food systems, biotechnology, and social justice, have been sharing these stories for nearly a decade, in the process creating a multimedia resource that promotes ideas, solutions and opportunities for driving systemic change.
In 2020 the magazine’s editor-at-large, Marc Buckley, a global food reformist and member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, launched the monthly podcast, Inside Ideas. Since then Marc has welcomed Nobel prize winners; legendary explorers; UN leaders; world famous systems theorists; moral philosophers – and more, on to a show where he takes a deep dive into the game-changing solutions that are shifting people and planet onto the right side of history.
As well as the magazine and podcast, we collaborate with partners to run events, research initiatives, social media campaigns, and hackathons, in a bid to reach new audiences, and help inspire new ways of thinking. Which has led to us working on events in the European Parliament; being named media partners at COP23; and to developing the world’s first cross-sector awards platform recognising innovative companies and organisations working for the Global Goals.
In 2025 we will celebrate our 10th birthday and we look forward to continuing our journey, growing our community and creating new ways of inspiring positive change.
