This December, Abu Dhabi will become a global meeting point for the people working to rethink one of humanity’s most urgent challenges: water.
The 2026 UN Water Conference will take place in Abu Dhabi from 8–10 December 2026, co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal. The conference is dedicated to accelerating progress towards UN Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims to ensure access to water and sanitation for all.
Thousands of participants are expected to attend, bringing together policymakers, investors, innovators, researchers and industry leaders working across water, agriculture, energy and other water-dependent sectors.
Alongside the UN-accredited Blue Zone, The Oasis will provide an open space for ideas, exhibitions and collaboration, with a focus on turning water challenges into practical solutions. Programming will include the inaugural Abu Dhabi Water and Power Week, exploring technologies, policies and partnerships shaping the future of water management.
For innovators, the central question is increasingly not simply how we find more water, but how we use, manage, conserve and rethink the water systems we already depend upon.
The 2026 UN Water Conference takes place at ADNEC Exhibition Centre, Abu Dhabi, 8–10 December. Registration for The Oasis is now open.
