We are media partners with the World Bank 2020 Innovation Challenge designed to boost agriculture and food security risk financing in Southern Africa. The entries are now in and the jury for the initiative – led by the World Bank and Draper University – have selected the best to go forward to compete in a virtual shark-tank, where they will pitch their innovations.
The event takes place next week over three days and will be streamed live on YouTube. Winners will be selected in three categories: Alternative Methods for Measuring Weather Variables, Animal and Plant Pests and Diseases and Agriculture Data. Tune in on 21, 22 and 23 April to watch global experts and investors grill the pioneers on their potential solutions.
