Emerging artists offer creative response to a world in transition

Consequences is an exciting new UK art exhibition where audiences can engage with works presenting unique interpretations of a world in transition. Exploring themes of political activism, propaganda, the Anthropocene, and gender, emerging artists from the Arts University Plymouth launch the exhibition this week.

“’Consequences’ is a creative response by a driven cohort of emerging artists drawn from Arts University Plymouth’s second-year BA (Hons) Fine Art students,” said Dorron Britz, one of the exhibiting artists. “The exhibition aims to provide the audience with an alternative awareness of the 2020’s Zeitgeist; a time when global challenges began entering personal, everyday lives on a scale hitherto unknown.”

The exhibition is being held in Project Space 1, a rolling exhibition space. While access is usually reserved for students, the opening night event from 6pm to 8pm on 25 January 2024 will be open to members of the public. Get along if you can.

Consequences runs from 25 January to 6 February in Project Space 1.

Featured works and artists:

  • Dorron Britz: Presents works including ‘Global Warning’, a poignant commentary on environmental issues.
