The Vodafone Group has become the 135th global brand to make the 100% renewable energy pledge.
We regularly report the new corporate additions to the RE100 campaign – promoted by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP. And Vodafone became the latest member Friday, saying its electricity will come from 100% clean sources by 2025.
“I’m delighted to welcome Vodafone Group to RE100. Setting a target to source 100% renewable power by 2025 demonstrates real leadership and a commitment to be a driving force in the clean energy transition,” said Sam Kimmins, Head of RE100, The Climate Group.
It follows a report released last month by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) revealing the amount of green power sourced by big business last year would meet the energy needs of France.
