The popular hackathon platform used to identify solutions to global challenges will form part the UN Climate Change Conference (COP23) for the first time.
For four days, beginning 12 November, innovators will take part in Hack4Climate, at COP23, in Bonn. The hackathon on blockchain and climate is designed to “mobilise the Blockchain/DLT (Digital Ledger Technology) community for Climate Action, assuring that the Paris Climate Agreement is successfully implemented.”
Part of the Climate Ledger Initiative (CLI), it has five challenges focussed on areas including sustainable transport, sustainable land use and distributed energy – as well an anything goes element, to be led by participants.
Innovators Magazine, as an official media partner of COP23, will be featuring all the highlights and events to look out for throughout the conference, which runs until 17 November.
Get involved in the discussion on Twitter using #Hack4Climate and visit the COP23 website for a breakdown of the full programme.
