Australia and Singapore are to work together on advancing food innovation.
The South Australia Food Innovation Centre (SAFIC) and the Singapore Food Innovation Cluster will collaborate after a deal was signed between SPRING – a Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry agency, and PIRSA – an economic development body for the South Australian government.
“This collaboration will help catalyse co-innovation through exchanges in research and development, commercialisation, product development, and packaging innovation and technology,” explained SPRING Singapore Deputy Chief Executive, Dr Ted Tan. “We are looking forward to a fruitful partnership with PIRSA to build complementary capabilities in emerging food innovation areas, including functional foods and food waste reduction.”
