Innovators with solutions for reducing the human and environmental cost of plastic pollution in Hargeisa are being offered up to $150k to ‘pilot their groundbreaking solutions’.
Launched by Engineers without Borders Norway and Somali Response Innovation Lab, the Social Plastics for Economic Development – Innovation Challenge 2024 “aims to find and test innovative solutions to sustainably reduce plastic consumption, recycle plastic waste and create alternative livelihoods for the most vulnerable groups residing in Hargeisa”, the call states.
