Climate science will meet science fiction next month in what promises to be an exciting online event.
In the fact corner, representing science, is Friederike Otto, a world-renowned climate researcher who works with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); and in the science fiction corner, Kim Stanley Robinson, a famous science fiction author, known for hits including his Mars Trilogy.
They will come together to discuss questions such as: how can literary fiction help us find ways out of the climate crisis?; and how much science is good for science fiction?
The event appeals to the team at Innovators Magazine and readers who like the sound of it can watch it live here on Sunday, October 3, from 7-8pm CEST.
The event is being organised by klimafakten.de in cooperation with DW (Deutsche Welle), Germany’s international broadcaster, and The New Statesman.
