Toyota is investing in an exciting Japanese startup team that is developing a flying car.
Cartivator says it wants to “create a world where anyone can fly in the sky anytime by 2050” and the young company has set a goal of lighting the Tokyo Olympic flame in 2020 with it. The team plans for the drone meets car machine, which will take off and land vertically, to fly at speeds in excess of 100km/hr.
Toyota confirmed it is providing $350,000 to help fund a full scale prototype.
