Applications open today for the ‘New Tech Business Camp Tokyo‘. The accelerator programme is targeting international startup companies developing frontier technologies.
Organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), it offers promising young businesses pioneering products and services in areas including artificial intelligence, big data and IoT, the opportunity to establish themselves in Japan.
The TMG wants the five firms selected to ‘generate groundbreaking innovation’ during the two month accelerator, which begins in late January 2018. Major Japanese corporates will offer mentorship to the startups, who will also be able to connect with investors. Additional support will be available to those who choose to establish their business in Tokyo. The deadline for applications is 3 November.
