The iconic Earth Hour initiative began when Sydney’s citizens symbolically switched their lights off in 2007 – the event is now celebrated in over 180 nations.
Led by the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), it is a global grassroots movement which unites people committed to achieving a sustainable planet for all. Marco Lambertini, Director General, WWF International, said “Earth Hour is our chance to use our power, as individuals and as a collective” to make an impact.
This year’s Earth Hour takes place on 24 March 8.30pm – take part.
