The European Commission is connecting investors with pioneers working to protect the oceans and tap into its vast economic potential.

Blue Invest 2018 will give a platform to ‘innovators with projects that can have a positive impact on the health of the ocean and boost its economic potential’.

Open to SMEs, startups and scaleups, the event at Square Brussels Meeting Centre on 17 May invites submission proposals from companies operating ‘in an ocean-related economic sector, including fisheries, aquaculture, biotechnology, renewable energy, shipping, logistics, tourism and waste management (e.g. marine litter)’.

The deadline for applications is 9 March.
