New Climate Change Challenge open to school students worldwide

High school students worldwide are being urged to pitch their big ideas for a better future as part of the 2025 Climate Change Challenge.

Led by Oxford University’s Saïd Business School and Burjeel Holdings, the Challenge is open to student and teacher groups with big ideas for solving five climate change areas: air pollution, extreme weather, water scarcity, food security, and biodiversity.

The top five student teams will compete in the ‘finals of the Oxford Saïd Global Climate Change Challenge 2025 at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in August 2025’, with the winner going in to join a bespoke Future Climate Innovators programme in 2026 in Oxford. While the top five teachers will participate in the ‘finals of the Oxford Saïd Global Climate Change Challenge 2025 at COP30 in Brazil in November 2025, with the winner teacher given the chance to take part in an Executive Education Programme at Oxford Saïd in Oxford, in 2026.
