Milan is becoming synonymous with the rapidly expanding food technology industry. The city’ annual Seed and Chips global food innovation summit has significantly bolstered its credentials in this area.
And this year’s line-up promises to be bigger and more diverse than ever. For the first time, Italy’s renowned TUTTOFOOD B2B food and drink fair will be hosted within Seed and Chips.
On joining forces with TUTTOFOOD, Marco Gualtieri, Founder and Chairman of Seeds and Chips, said: “Our collaboration with well-established authorities like TUTTOFOOD and Fiera Milano is proof that only through synergistic actions and by investing in the food and food innovation sector, it is possible to trigger a virtuous effect in many areas, with significant benefits for Milan and for Italy.”
Seed and Chips will welcome a cross spectrum of international stakeholders to Milan in May. Industry leaders will be joined by investors, representatives from academia, startups and more. The event will tackle a range issues across a number of conferences, including big data, 3D printing in food, the sharing economy, circular economy and supermarkets of the future.

Our partnership with Seeds&Chips combines TUTTOFOOD’s multi-sector offer with hi-tech, adding to the numerous institutional partnerships that generate specialized skills. In the last year, over 50 thousand under 40 year-olds have moved to Milan, many of whom are students and knowledge professionals. The city is increasingly becoming a hub for innovation, including innovation in food; and this alliance represents a significant step in confirming this role.”
