Is the Youth Innovation Challenge for you?

Young people in Canada, Mexico, or the United States – aged between 18-30 – are being urged to submit their solution for the Youth Innovation Challenge ahead of this week’s Thursday deadline.

Led by the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) Council, the Challenge is seeking innovative proposals for kickstarting the COVID recovery phase. Up for grabs is C$15,000 in seed funding.

“A successful solution proposes an innovation with clear environmental benefits that also considers direct impacts for local communities in North America,” the Youth Innovation Challenge website states. “Possible innovations could consider public well-being; efforts to build back the local and circular economy; conservation, preservation, and recovery of biocultural heritage; and the defense of their territories, livelihoods, and ecosystems. Winning solutions will also have a gender, intercultural, and human rights focus.”

Submit your solution by 31 March.
