(NETHERLANDS)
A parade of around 2000 fossil-fuel free vehicles brought the Elfwegenttocht festival in Leeuwarden-Friesland to a close on Saturday.
The European Capital of Culture 2018 encouraged Frisian citizens to travel without using gasoline over the past fortnight, in what has been a strong global statement of the power of sustainability.
Cars, boats and bikes took part in the parade; with renewable biofuels and solar power among the sources used.
