Food systems feed injustice

Loren Cardeli is my guest today on Inside Ideas. He is the co-founder and executive director of A Growing Culture (AGC), a nonprofit that confronts unjust power in the food system.

This movement-support organization striving to democratise food systems by connecting, amplifying, and resourcing those on the frontlines of the fight for food sovereignty, is working hard to shift the public’s perception of agrarians from one of passive beneficiaries to one of active innovators. The farmer-centric organization also believes the key to sustainability lies in returning small-scale farmers to the forefront of agriculture, and actively promotes advocacy, farmer-led research, food sovereignty, and allyship, in a bid to to create sustainable food systems that are just.
