There are 821 million people starving right now worldwide.
This crisis is taking place despite there being enough food for everyone. Huge levels of waste, and an inability to keep food fresh, are some of the reasons it isn’t reaching those who need it most. While rapidly rising populations demand that a conveyor belt of new, sustainable innovations, are developed quickly to feed billions of additional mouths by 2050.

We can all make a difference – and using the ShareTheMeal app is one way to do it. Reducing food waste is another. The list of actions are endless, for corporations and individuals, and everyone has to contribute.
“If we can connect hungry children and smartphone users then we can make a difference. That’s what @sharethemealorg is. It’s just a tap and you can share your meal with a child. More than 27 million meals have been shared so far” @BKowatsch pic.twitter.com/2NEB97pLU2
