The creative consultancy bought by the BMW Group in 1995 is designing the future of mobility.
Designworks, in collaboration with Virgin Hyperloop One, and the Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai (RTA), has unveiled a ‘full-scale prototype’ of the Dubai hyperloop capsule. The UAE is striving to be the first place in the world to have a functioning hyperloop system, which will transport passengers in a pod at speeds of 1,080km/h.
“With the Virgin Hyperloop One design, we wanted to create a new visual expression for a new mode of public transportation,” said Designworks LA Studio Design Director, Johannes Lampela.
Virgin Hyperloop One also announced recently it is partnering with DP World to launch new company, DP World Cargospeed, to transport cargo deliveries using the speed of the electromagnetic technology.
