Using blockchain for food is just one example of the enormous opportunities for economic development that are on the horizon for the food sector.
The words of Marco Gualtieri, Founder and Chairman of Seeds&Chips, the world’s leading food innovation summit, held annually in Milan. Along with the Coop and IBM, the summit organisers are spearheading the Great Eggspectations challenge, which calls on innovators to use blockchain to build a more robust egg supply chain. The most impressive solution will be piloted by the Coop ‘using IBM technology and €120,000 in IBM Cloud credit’.
