Congrats to Tech4Girls programme

The GSMA Tech4Girls initiative has been recognised at an awards ceremony held by the Women Economic Forum in Cartagena, Colombia.

We are media partners with a number of GSMA-led events and congratulate Tech4Girls, part of the global GSMA’s Women4Tech platform, for winning in the category, Iconic Company Creating a Better World for All. Tech4Girls and Women4Tech exist to tackle the gender gap in the mobile industry, as well as to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 5: “to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.”

Ana Tavares-Lattibeaudiere, Head of North America, GSMA, said in a press statement: “Tech4Girls is gaining tremendous momentum but there is still a lot of work to be done to increase female representation across the mobile industry. The GSMA partners with its members, communities and MWC events to create a path for girls and women in STEAM.”
