The 2017 BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology in Montréal welcomed attendees from over 30 countries this week.
More than 200 speakers took to the stage during what is the premier international event for the industry. And a new record was set for meetings held via the organiser’s One-on-One Partnering™ system, with 2,130 taking place – up 9% on 2016.
Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section, said: “From the robust plenary sessions to the record number of partnering meetings, the 2017 BIO World Congress was a resounding success. This event continues to provide industry executives, investors, policy makers and academics the best opportunity to form connections and partnerships that will drive growth in the sector for years to come.”
Innovators Magazine is proud to be a media partner of the World Congress and a special edition of the magazine was distributed to delegates in Montréal – it is also available online.
Next year’s event will be held between 16 and 19 July, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
