This week’s 2018 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology was a truly international affair.
Led by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, around 44% of those attending the event in Philadelphia, which we are media partners with, were from outside America.
“Like previous years, the 2018 BIO World Congress featured robust programming for anyone working in industrial biotechnology. From intriguing plenary and breakout sessions to investment and partnering opportunities, this event provides industry executives, investors, policy makers and academics the best opportunity to collaborate to strengthen the biobased economy,” said Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section.
The 2019 BIO World Congress will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, from July 8-11.
