Ted Ladd is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Hult International Business School and a Visiting Instructor at Harvard and Stanford Universities, focusing on the design of multi-sided platform marketplaces. He has participated in six different platform start-ups in Silicon Valley. The most recent was acquired by Google to build its smartwatch software and hardware business (now called WearOS). Another start-up enjoyed an IPO, and another was acquired by UL. A few flopped.
He holds a PhD from Case, an MBA from Wharton, an MA in international economics from Johns Hopkins, and a BA from Cornell University. He and his wife Laura and dog Monster live outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
