Filling up on water from the air

Extracting water from the air has been practised for thousands of years – and a new innovation offers the potential to gather 10 gallons an hour.

A ‘lightweight, battery-powered freshwater harvester’ being developed by Shing-Chung (Josh) Wong, Ph.D, and his students at the University of Akron shows the potential to operate in ‘arid desert environments’, which would help to tackle water shortages.
