Hans-Christian Boos is my guest today on Inside Ideas. Chris, who studied computer sciences at ETH Zürich and the Technical University Darmstadt, is the founder of arago and member of the Digital Council of the Federal Government of Germany. Author of many academic and business publications, focusing on artificial intelligence, computer networks, IT security and information management, Chris is also active on several boards and supports the European startup scene.
A key focus for Chris right now is exploring ways technology can be used to reduce COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
He said: “I believe the part that governments have to play is to make sure the pandemic doesn’t spread exponentially. Which you can achieve by enforcing social distancing, mask wearing and doing enough testing. But that is not very nice for the economy or our social lives. So the question we are working on, is how can we use technology to need less measures and prevent exponential spread.”
