Stockholm sits alongside international locations synonymous with boasting vibrant startup ecosystems in a new league table.
Startup Genome and GEN‘s 2017 Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) has some familiar names at the top of the pile. Silicon Valley is number one, followed by New York, London and Beijing. But it is the nordic city is now one of the big boys, having entered at number 14.
“The biggest upward movement was Stockholm, which entered the top 20 with an impressive 14th place, thanks to its high Market Reach and amazing ability to create unicorns despite its small size,” the report said.
And the authors of the report expect more locations to join the party as the startup revolution continues to gather pace.
