The FCI4Africa Open Call 2026, funded by Horizon Europe, is inviting bold proposals that can reshape food systems across Africa—offering up to €50,000 per project to bring ideas to life.
With €400,000 in total funding available, this call is designed for innovators who are ready not just to imagine solutions, but to test, refine, and scale them. From startups and SMEs to universities and industry players, applicants should be prepared to tackle real challenges across food value chains, from sustainability and inclusion to technology and data-driven improvements.
Selected projects will run from November 2026 to October 2027, moving through design, development, and validation phases to ensure solutions are practical, proven, and ready for wider adoption.
