A 1.5°C world is still possible, but only just. COP26 represents a crucial opportunity to secure the future of humankind and prevent environmental catastrophe.
That was the message tweeted by Nigel Topping, UN High Level Climate Action Champion for COP26, who added that ‘businesses and world leaders must act now’.
The upcoming COP26, taking place in Scotland’s biggest city, is one of the last chances for the world to commit to actions that can secure a 1.5°C world, and avoid the dire consequences of more inaction.
